Poster Design Workshop

In preparation for 3.007 Introduction to Design, SUTDio held 4 sessions spanning across 2 days for freshmores to learn some basic skills in Photography, Photoshop, and Illustrator to start designing their own posters. In this 2-day workshop, students were exposed to product photography, logo, and poster design.

Unleashing their creativity to create a makeshift photography set-up and take pictures of a product, students grasped the concept of highlighting its functionality, design, and range appealingly.

Students were then tasked to design a logo and poster based on the same product. Using a framework for the designing of a poster, including tips and tricks that would help them improve the aesthetics of their poster with the theories taught, students learnt to produce effective visual communication media, which is an important skill to acquire regardless of their field of study in the future.
