Concrete Flowerpot Workshop

Through a form exploration exercise led by the SUTDio Exco, this 3-part workshop encouraged participants to design, CAD, and 3D print their own mold and make their own concrete flower pots.

The participants, mostly freshmore students, took this workshop as an opportunity to tap on their creativity by exploring different forms and building on their existing knowledge of Rhinoceros at the same time.

While learning more about concrete and how it is used in the building industry, participants then had a chance to pour concrete slurry into their own 3D printed molds. Their molds were then kept in the studio for a week before the participants came together again to remove their flower pots from their molds.
