Straw Structure Intro Session

SUTDio hosted a straw structure building workshop as an ice breaker to welcome the term 1 freshies to our club! We shared more on designing sturdy structures, as well as how trusses are frequently employed in the structures and buildings around us. Straws and connectors were provided to the participants, and they were challenged to build the tallest structure they could. These connectors were all laser cut by SUTDio. After that, they were given the extra challenge of building a bridge to connect the two structures - but they did not falter and ended up building a massive structure!
